Built in 1976 The Fairways (1400 Dixie Rd) is comprised of 2 buildings- the North tower with 14 floors and 110 units and the South tower with 21 floors and 160 units. The age of the building is both a pro and con- a pro because the units are very spacious with 1 bedroom units offering at least 780 sq ft up to 1200 sq ft, 1 bedroom + den units starting at 1350 sq ft, 2 bedroom units start at 1100 sq ft and can go to 1700 sq ft, 2 bedroom + den units and 3 bedroom units offering in excess of 2000 sq ft. The con with the age building is that unless the unit’s been renovated- they’re obviously dated. This is both a pro and a con since many units are being purchased, renovated and sold (flipped) which can return decent profit (and raise prices) however there can be the inconvenience of renovations going on in the building. 

Both buildings originally were apartment buildings before being converted to Condominiums and one point to note is not all units have ensuite laundry. Since it was previously an apartment, tenants had to take their laundry to the laundry room on the main floor which is an inconvenience to say the least! Many units have since had a washer and dryer installed however there are still units that don’t have ensuite laundry. Units on the west of the building have wonderful views of the Lakeview golf course and sunsets, unit on the east side the Toronto skyline and the Toronto Golf club. In 2024, expect to pay at least $500 per sq ft for a unit in the Fairways




The Fairways is walking distance the Lake and close to Sherway Gardens, Downtown Toronto, Long Branch GO station, QEW and Hwy 427, Trillium Hospital and Queensway Health Centre
